Provide a feasibility study for a large US technology company
A large US technology company wanted to introduce a complex IT system into the Australian Wealth Management sector.
They had little knowledge of the structure of the Australian superannuation and funds management industry and needed market research into the viability of releasing the system into the Australian market.
Project
Provide a feasibility study on the introduction of the system into the Australian market. This included the total market size, identifying potential customers and competitors. It also included a detailed financial model on capital outlays to modify the system to Australian laws, resource costs and time to the first sale.
Result
We provided a comprehensive report of the likelyhood of success of the system in the Australian marketplace. This included potential clients, competitors, capital costs and potential revenue. The system required a $1.5 million investment and sales in 1 to 2 years.
The company decided not to release the product into the Australian market due to competitior dominance, high conversion costs and very long sales cycles.
